Christmas Weekend Via Instagram/Another Music Video

Outside of our house. We're one of the obnoxious houses.

Getting ready for Kuppajoe's 15 Year Anniversary Show!

Phinehas killing it at Kuppajoe's 15th Show!

Truffles trying to protect me from the boys, haha.

Got in my Lime Crime "Mint To Be" lipstick!

Christmas Eve dinner with my dad's side of the family!

It's a yearly tradition for my sister and I to go through the presents and try to guess what we've gotten after our parents go to bed.

The cats getting into everything, and my dad playing on his new Wii U.

So this entire past weekend has been awesome. Friday night Kuppajoe had it's 15 Year Anniversary show. I'm so happy that the place has been around for so long, and it still running and well. It's my second home, and I've met some of my closest friends through it. My good friends in Phinehas played the show, and I'm so honored they did. One of the few bands that I fully support with all I have. They're a huge blessing every time they're in town. Really talented and sweet guys. They're also releasing a new EP, entitled "The Bridge Between" within the next couple of months. Check out their newest track from the EP below.

Christmas Eve was spent with my dad's side of the family. It was actually a really good time (I don't always get along real well with extended family, so this was quite the blessing in itself). Christmas day it was just the four of us (my parents and sister) for most of the day, and some of our long time friends came by for the big feast. It's been a really good Christmas actually.

I hope you all have had a wonderful one as well!

Kuppajoe & The Fresno Music Scene

As you all know, I've been working at a local venue for about four years now. A few weeks ago, an art student living in San Francisco, Amanda Ramirez, interviewed some of us Fresno locals, asking us about the state of the Fresno music scene and what could be done to improve it. I was one of the one to get interviewed. Above are some screenshots from the video interview, and you can check out the actual video here.
Check it out and let me know what you think! Help make a difference in your own local music community. Music is one of the few things that can bring people together, and there is nothing greater than being in a room surrounded by live music.

As some of you may know, I've been volunteering at a nonprofit all ages venue, called Kuppajoe, for over three years now. We are a ministry oriented nonprofit, with the responsibility to give kids a safe place to hang out, and to help the Fresno music scene to thrive. We're here to welcome kids with open arms, who have often before been outcasted by Christians and churchgoers, those who are supposed to show love to everyone, yet don't always act on it. We're here to reach out to kids, to make a connection, to allow them to enjoy the art that is music. Here's a video that'll tell you more about Kuppajoe, and what it is we do, and what it means to us (yeah, you'll see me ramble a bit in here, haha).

For more information on what we're about, and a schedule of upcoming shows, please check us out at the following:

This place has become very near and dear to my heart, and I would much appreciate you checking out what I spend a lot of my weekends doing. This place has become a second home, and the people here a family.

I hope you all have an amazing weekend!
