Spring Fashion Show

Hey guys! So I'll be live modeling for the first time at Fresno State's Spring Fashion Show. I'll be walking for Julia Vogue, and I'm super excited (and also pretty nervous)! I'd love if any of you guys in the area would come out. :) You can check the Facebook event page here for more details!

Cut-A-Thon For Charity

The salon I work at, Revolver Hair Studio, had a Cut-A-Thon at the beginning of the month in honor of it being Breast Cancer Awareness month. All of the proceeds during the event were donated to City Of Hope, to help raise awareness. I told you all I'd have the photos from the event eventually, and here they are!

Here's the whole Revolver crew!

Paul Mitchell the School actually sent of over some of their student to help out and do manicures and pedicures during the event to raise even more. It was definitely a team effort, and I'm glad to work with such amazing girls.
Cancer awareness is very dear to me, being as several people in my family, and my best friend have dealt with the struggles of cancer, myself included. My grandmother is a breast cancer survivor, I had an aunt pass away due to liver cancer, and I myself am also a cancer survivor.
Thanks to everyone to helped out/supported and everyone who came in to get services done. This wouldn't have been possible without you all!

Life Update

Some random captures by the lovely Yezmene Fullilove.
Just thought I'd share some of these.

So I survived my first week of work at Revolver Hair Studio! Was beyond stoked to get the position there, as it is such a great environment. All the girls there are super sweet and a lot of fun, and the owner/lead stylist, Judith, is such a huge inspiration and a great mentor. I've learned a lot from her already. So, you all know where to come find me now if you'd like to get your hair done. :)
Also beyond stoked for next week! I'll be heading up to Seattle to visit some friends and my babe. It'll be nice to get out of California for a bit again. Anyone live up in Portland or Seattle?

Hope you've all had a great weekend!

Lightness//Darkness

Photos by Yezmene Fullilove

"I've always been dark, with light somewhere in the distance" -Dallas Green

There's something so mystical about the Golden Hour. Where light and shadows collide. Where day meets night. I've always been described as being on the darker side. Pale skin, dark hair, and I prefer the nighttime. Always on the nocturnal side. I can't deny that I do love the evening hours in California during the summertime though. Lazing around in the summer heat, dipping my feet into the pool, watching and the sun slowly starts to descend.

Hope you all are well.

The Hoot Nest

So this past Sunday, Yezmene asked me if I would like to model for The Hoot Nest's lookbook. I of course said yes! The Hoot Nest is a vintage/thrift/upcycled shop located in downtown Fresno. The shop's owner, Gina, upcycles vintage clothes and ads her own little touch to them, yet still at a thrift store price. They've got so many amazing pieces! I actually ended up purchasing the vintage GAP shorts because I loved them so much. Demi, Brijido, Yezmene, and I all had a really great time shooting this. Quite a lot of fun. I hadn't modeled for any shops/clothing companies in about a year. Was great to get back into it! If you're ever around the Fresno area, this is one shop you must check out.

Hope you all are having a great week!

Welcome to Victory Cafe At Hardy's!! All these photos were taken inside/outside the theater, which is now a venue that Miears Music Management has taken over, and I've got the position of Promotions Management. I am so stoked to be able to expand to another venue! So not only am I helping out at Kuppajoe, but now Victory Cafe as well! We are having our debut show tomorrow, which includes SLO's very own PK, along with Underwater Track Team, and The Unbelievable! We've got some pretty big shows already in the works for the coming months. This is all so exciting for me.

Tomorrow's a big day!
Hope you've all started off your week well.

Oh, and yes. I went dark brown with my hair. I feel so much more "at home" with myself again. Stoked!

Kuppajoe & The Fresno Music Scene

As you all know, I've been working at a local venue for about four years now. A few weeks ago, an art student living in San Francisco, Amanda Ramirez, interviewed some of us Fresno locals, asking us about the state of the Fresno music scene and what could be done to improve it. I was one of the one to get interviewed. Above are some screenshots from the video interview, and you can check out the actual video here.
Check it out and let me know what you think! Help make a difference in your own local music community. Music is one of the few things that can bring people together, and there is nothing greater than being in a room surrounded by live music.

Fierce Creatures' Catacomb Party!

Last night was an incredible night for the Fresno community. Fresno locals, Fierce Creatures, had their huge CD release, known as the Catacomb Party, in downtown Fresno's Fulton Mall. It was a huge community event, and events like this haven't been seen here at Fulton Mall since the sixties. The turnout was amazing. Loads of great bands played, and so many different companies came out to support and sponsor. Food trucks, Fresno Brewing Company, Dusty Buns Bistro, and so much more. Seriously, last night made me overwhelmingly proud to be a Fresnan. The sense of community and the insane amount of talent last night was something indescribable. Check out KMPH's news bit on it here. Seriously thanks so much to Religious Appeal and Fierce Creatures for putting this event together.

Here's some instagram shots from the night!
