I spent a few days in LA this past week, and while I was there, I got to shoot with my friend Courtney Coles. This is one of the instax shots she took. The rest she shot with her Mamiya. This is just preview, so stick around for the rest. I'll make sure to get up a photo diary here soon too.

So last weekend I went over to help Yezmene with her shoot, and styled hair. That's all I was expecting to do, but I got thrown in the mix as well, which I'm totally fine with. Always down to help a friend with their portfolios. It was awesome getting to model with someone else! I love Ashley, she's gorgeous, inside and out. It was definitely a fun day. My first time wearing false eyelashes too... I can't say I'm a fan. Haha.

Also, I've decided to part with some clothes/shoes that I've either never worn or only worn once or twice. I've got them up on eBay, so check out what I've got for sale HERE.

Yep, warm enough in California that you don't even need a jacket during the daylight hours. I was pretty excited though, we actually got some rain today!! Finally. We're gonna need a week more to help with the drought though, please. My best friend Megan shot these last week. I snagged this awesome cape/vest on sale for like 75% off on Nasty Gal back in December. How could you say no with that kind of a discount? I love the leather detailing and the fact that it has shoulder pads (who woulda thought?). Also, this awesome owl shirt. I bought from this incredible band, The Overseer, whom I had the pleasure of meeting at Creation Fest when I was up in Washington back in August. Super sweet guys, who have been working on writing their new album. Check them out! Thanks again Megan for shooting these!

Koa

 

A few weeks ago I was contacted by the lovely people at Altin Place, whom offered to send me one of their gorgeous Koa Wood rings. I chose this titanium offset one, and boy, is it gorgeous. Koa wood comes specifically from Hawaii and the color is just beautiful against the titanium. 

The awesome thing about these rings is that they come with a lifetime guarantee, so if the wood ever gets damaged or comes loose, they will get it replaced. This ring has no become one of my daily wears. However, I must say that it makes want to visit Hawaii more than ever, haha.

Flashback Friday: Millerton Lake

These photos were taken by one of my closest friends, Mariaya Tallett, before she moved back home to Washington about a year ago. This was such a fun day. We went out to Millerton Lake for these shots. The weather was perfect. Cloudy and overcast, yet not cold. I wish we got more of this kind of weather here in California. And man, Mariaya, I miss you so much!!

I always love shooting by the water. Give me dark, cloudy skies and a body of water and I will be more content than ever. Unfortunately, California isn't having much of a winter. It's times like these that make me want to join Mariaya up in Washington...

One of my close friends, Yezmene, hit me up today wanting to do a surrealist shoot, and these are the results. I really like how these came out. So whimsical. These shoes have not been off my feet since they came in. I absolutely ADORE them, and they have definitely take over the title of favorite shoes in my closet. The weather today was pretty gorgeous, cloudy and overcast, but not cold. A slight chill in the air, but the best kind.

Life's been pretty... Hm. Interesting, I guess? I'm kind of in a weird point. Just rolling with the punches I suppose. How have you all been?
