I have been after some Bad Vibes shorts for probably about a year now (or whenever it is they first released them). I finally bought myself a pair, and I am in love (I may or may not have bought two more pairs after receiving these ones and discovering just how perfect they are)! Madeline and Brit, you girls are geniuses for these. 

The weather here in California has been so bipolar... Last week it rained, this week it's in the 90's, and next week it's supposed to drop back down to the 70's. Make up ya mind!

I don't really have a whole lot to say today to be honest. It's my day off so I've really just been relaxing and enjoying the weather while listening to a couple of my favorite bands at the moment. I'd suggest you check out both Nest and Nothing.

Fresno State Spring '14 Fashion Show

As I'd mentioned previously on here, I got the opportunity to model for Julia Vogue, one of the show's sponsors, a couple Saturdays ago now. It was my first time doing live modeling and walking a runway. I must say, it was a lot of fun! Here's the video from the show. I show up at around the 5:10 mark. 

Much thanks to Fashion Inc., Fresno State's fashion club, for putting on the show, Danika Brumbeloe for giving me the opportunity to take part in this, Sydney Manguino for doing us Vogue girl's makeup, and Julia Vogue for entrusting me with the jewels for the night. I had a great time! Should be getting photos from the event in coming weeks, so stay tuned for that.

Widow: Black Riding Hood

I got this hoodie this past fall, and have worn it countless times since, but have just barely gotten around to having it photographed for a blog post. This tattered crop hoodie is by none other than Widow, and is probably the best article of clothing to come into my life. Honestly, everything Widow puts out is incredibly gorgeous, but this was my number one pick. I'm actually sad that it is currently in the 90's in California, because I means I won't be able to wear this beauty for awhile. 

I have also finally found the perfect pair of black jeans. Every other pair I have has a broken zipper... Ha. This coated pair is by Paige Denim, which I found at Nordstrom Rack for about 80% off, what a steal! Also, again with these Nasty Gal shoes. They've pretty much been my go to since I got them. The best.

California has actually been getting some rain again!! I never complain about that. These photos were taken yesterday, the day after a big rainstorm, hence the gorgeous clouds. Perfect weather, if you ask me. Also, my favorite EVER coat (cardigan? Whatever you wanna call it), by Evil Twin. It is so warm, and fuzzy, and cozy. It's just the best.

Also, I just started a new job... At the Fresno Chaffee Zoo!! I'm an educator/guide there, so I get to work with both the animals and people. It's awesome getting to educate guests on all the different animals. It's also really nice to have a job that I don't dread going to. I'm pretty happy with it.

What a blessing it is to live in California, with this wonderful weather. Not having to deal with the polar vortex here is pretty awesome. It was a bit windy this day (as I'm sure you can tell in a few of these), but the weather was wonderful nonetheless. I love shooting with my best friend. She gets better with it every time. If I'm being honest, this crop top was a bit out of my comfort zone. I usually wear crop tops that aren't so... Cropped. These shorts I got from Pac Sun a couple of years ago, but I hated the colors. White and pink. So, I decided to try dip dying them. I folded them in half and dyed the middle black (which ended up turning out gray, but I'm liking the effect anyway). Then one side purple, and the other blue. I'm really loving how they came out. 

So I have started applying for jobs... In LA. Yeah. I think it's time I just throw myself out there and get out of Fresno, and living at home. Not going to lie, I'm absolutely terrified, but, it's time. If I don't push myself, then who will? I have applied for some pretty cool jobs there though, so prayers and good vibes would be appreciated. I'd be pretty stoked if I could land one of these.
