Party Rockin'!

Top; Thrifted
Shorts; DIY
Lace bells; Urban Outfitters
Belt; Target
Shoes; Dolce Vita via Urban Outfitters

So today at Paul Mitchell we had one of our special dress days. Today's theme was "Party Rock." Needless to say, bright colors were a must. Paired with these lace bell bottoms.. Perfection. I feel like it's almost slightly disco-y. But I dig it, and most everyone else did as well. I also decided to try something new with the makeup, and went with a Twiggy inspired look paired with my usual eye makeup ritual.

On another note, a friend and I were talking today about how cynical I am about society as a whole, and how we should really make an effort to be kind to everyone. Something I should most definitely work on, as my tolerance for people has decreased greatly over the past years. Guys, keep me in check!

Hope you're all having a great week!

Bohemian Rhapsody

Silk skirt; thrifted
Crop top; The Laundry Room
Hat; Forever 21
Feather necklace; Forever 21
Shoes; Dolce Vita

Yesterday one of my closest friends in high school graduated college! Well, this part of college anyhow. She's studying to be a teacher, and starts her credential program this next semester. Anyhow, I knew I had to dress it up a bit for this special celebration, and my first thought piece was this silk skirt that I came across at Goodwill! I hadn't worn it yet, so I figured it would be the perfect time to debut it. I can almost never find skirts that fit me perfectly, so when I found this one that did, I knew I had to pair it with a crop top. I threw on the necklace and the hat seriously last minute, and I really like the feel they added to the look. Funny how throwing something together so last minute can end up so good at times.
Congrats again to Judy for graduating! I know you'll do well, no matter what you choose to do.

Crazy Life

I have been busy as hell lately! School's really taking off, and I'm keeping myself busy on weekends. I really need to get on more outfit posts, but I've been slacking. Therefore, enjoy some random snapshots of the past month. :)

Photos from Cinco De Mayo! My good friend Amanda (wearing the sombrero) had a Cinco De Huss party, hence everyone's outfits.

As you can see, we're real productive in class (Paul Mitchell).

I've been friends with these ladies since the second grade. We had a little second grade reunion.

Hope you all have been well!

In The Corner Of Your Mind I Wait

Shorts; DIY
Vest; Azkara
Tank top; Urban Outfitters
Belt & bracelet; Target
Shoes; Dolce Vita
Rings; Ooh La La, Fox House, Vintage

I know I've been a bit MIA. Just school and life have caught up. Grandmother was in the hospital the past few days and was finally able to come home today. School's been crazy. I've been in a terrible mood the past few days (I blame mother nature on this, ha!). Plus it's been in the high 90's here in the 'No, and I do not handle the heat very well, which just adds on to everyone else. Hence these shorts and the tank. I have to stay at cool as possible. I dip dyed these shorts using Rit dye, the bottom half blue and the top half violet. Everything else I'm wearing were great finds! Most of it was on sale (I seem to have a knack for finding high end pieces for just a fraction of the price.. I pride myself on this).
Anyway, I hope your weeks are going well thus far.

Feelin' Hippie-ish

Fringe tube top, high waisted shorts, lace bell bottoms; Urban Outfitters
Denim jacket; Thrifted from Goodwill
Platforms; Dolce Vita
Necklace & earrings; Forever 21
Belt & bracelet; Target
Purse; Kardashian Kollection
Pyramid ring; The Laundry Room
Vintage turquoise rings; gift from grandmother, Young & Ukraine vintage
Blank Turband; LuvB

First off, let me apologize for the terrible quality of these photos. I was running late and in a rush, and it was already starting to get dark. Shame on me. But anyway, my friend Amanda threw a party for Cinco De Mayo, which was named Cinco De Huss. The theme of the party was.. You guessed it, hussy! So I hussed it up with this fringed tube top which I absolutely adore (I had to wear the jacket while leaving the house so I wouldn't have to deal with getting scolded by my mother for wearing such a top, hah). I totally turned this look sort of hippie-ish when I added the lace bell bottoms underneath these high waisted shorts. I was labeled the "most trendy" person at the party. Also, thanks to LuvB for gifting me this lovely black turband! Yes, I know it's hard to see because of my already black hair.. But I love it anyway!
