Life Update

Some random captures by the lovely Yezmene Fullilove.
Just thought I'd share some of these.

So I survived my first week of work at Revolver Hair Studio! Was beyond stoked to get the position there, as it is such a great environment. All the girls there are super sweet and a lot of fun, and the owner/lead stylist, Judith, is such a huge inspiration and a great mentor. I've learned a lot from her already. So, you all know where to come find me now if you'd like to get your hair done. :)
Also beyond stoked for next week! I'll be heading up to Seattle to visit some friends and my babe. It'll be nice to get out of California for a bit again. Anyone live up in Portland or Seattle?

Hope you've all had a great weekend!

Wedding Attire

Demi and I look confused?

Right after catching the bouquet.

I'd say I got a bit too excited about catching it, eh?

I was absolutely determined to catch that bouquet!

With the newlyweds!

The entirety of Kuppajoe, past and present.

Bouquet/garter catchers.

Dancing with the crew!

These photos are from the end of May when I attended my friends' Jesse and Sam's wedding. Congrats again to you two! I decided to wear one of my favorite vintage dresses that I was so kindly gifted by Some Velvet Vintage. This one is from the 70's, and is absolutely gorgeous with the black velvet panels and fringe. Not to mention it fits like a dream!
As you can above, I managed to catch the bouquet... So I guess that means I'm next, eh? I am almost 25 now you know... Haha!

Hope you all had a great weekend and have a great start to the week!

Candid

Top; Prabal Gurung for Target via Buffalo Exchange | Faux leather shorts, hat, cuff; Forever 21 | Sunglasses; Azkara | Boots; Kohl's | Socks; Target | Lipstick; Revlon Va Va Violet

My good friend Lacey caught me in some candid shots while she was in town visiting last week. Despite being candid, there's something about the first one that I like so much. I feel like it really encompasses the basis of my personal style. Like, I feel like I've finally gotten to the point where I have defined my own personal style, one which I am so happy with.
I ended up going shopping with her this day, clad in faux leather shorts and this Prabal Gurung for Target top, which I got at Buffalo Exchange while I was in San Diego about a month ago. I absolutely adore this top, the colors are just wonderful, as is the mesh top half. It just so happened that I found this hat in the sale section while shopping at Forever 21 this day, and it went perfectly with the outfit. I have been looking for the perfect hat for so long, and I've finally found it! It's inspired a bunch of new outfit combinations in me, which I cannot wait to show you all once photographed. This was my lucky day in Forever 21, as I had also been looking for the perfect, somewhat large arm cuff, and this one I found is exactly what I'd been looking for! Two essential wardrobe pieces now checked off the list. Always nice! :)
Also, I dyed my tips purple!! I've been wanting to do a purple ombre for about a year now, and finally did it myself! The perks of being your own licensed hairdresser.

Happy Friday, and enjoy your weekends!

The Fourth: Friends & Fireworks

Photos by Andrew Hunter

Photos by Lacey Miranda

Top; Forever 21 | Shorts; Unif

I had the most amazing 4th of July with all my closest friends. Megan, Demi, Lacey, Andrew, Clayton, and I all went up onto the roof above the third floor at Victory Cafe to watch the fireworks from the Fresno Grizzly game. We had the best view, and with the best people. It was such a fun night, and I think we need to make this a yearly tradition. Andrew took all those bad ass shots of the group of us watching the fireworks. This guy's a master of photography, so make sure to check out his work here.
I decided to look as fabulous white trash as possible (yes, I was being funny with it). I wore this open back top I got at F21 a couple years ago, and these Unif Backoff Shorts that I absolutely adore. I made use of my dark blue and sparkly white eyeshadow, and slick of red lipstick to stick with the patriotic theme. Hands down one of the best 4th's I've had. Thanks to all my friends who made it what it was. Love you all!

What did the rest of you do for the 4th if you celebrated??
