Slayher

Sunglasses; Cole Haan via Nordstrom Rack | Shirt and shorts; UNIF | Boots; Nifty Thrifty | Lipstick; MAC Pure Heroine

So, I'm pretty behind on posting some looks I photographed months ago now. These sunglasses are some of my favorite. Originally $130, got them for $30, hell yeah! Gotta love the deals at Nordstrom Rack. If you guys couldn't tell, I have a serious obsession with UNIF. Yeah. These vintage leather boots I got from Nifty Thrifty, and I absolutely love them. I've been wearing them more often than not since I got them. Took a few times to break them in, but now that I have, they're perfect!

What's new with you guys? Got Halloween plans?

BAMF

Top; Forever 21
Studded leather jacket; some boutique somewhere in La Selva
Shorts; vintage
Boots; Reflections
Purse; Kardashan Kollection via Sears
Forest ring; The Laundry Room

So far this weekend has been amazing. Friday night I headed out to local venue Fulton 55 to see my friends in Adventure Galley play (I've posted their music video for "Weekend Lovers" on here before). They never fail to disappoint, and I danced my ass off. You just can't help it with their tunes.
Then yesterday after class, I went out with my friends Megan, and her boyfriend Davie. Went to the $3 theater and finally saw The Avengers. It may just be my new favorite movie. SO. GOOD. This is also where Megan captured this first random shot of me. Attitude on full blast. I was beyond stoked that it finally cooled off enough for me to pull out my favorite ever jacket as well. Then we headed over to Mickey's to get some delicious frozen yogurt, and come in this second photo. Some guys stopped at a stoplight right outside the shop in a jeep were yelling crap at us through a megaphone or something. I was pretty annoyed with them, and pretty much flipped them off and yelled back "You're so fucking cool bro!" Don't people have anything better to do with their lives?
Another thing. Both the $3 theater and this froyo shop were in Clovis, which is literally next door to Fresno where I live. It literally just transitions from Fresno to Clovis in a matter of just a street. The thing about Clovis though. For the most part, it's filled with bros, cowboys/girls, and rich spoiled little Barbies. All three of us who went are are tattooed, have facial piercings, and dress more alternatively. The number of people who stared at us in horror or distaste was unbelievable. Sorry I don't dress like you. Sorry I don't conform to this preppy Barbie and Ken style. People are so fucking closed minded, it sickens me. After last night, I was reminded of why I try to stay out of Clovis.
Rant over.

Recovering

Floral tank; Forever 21
Faux leather shorts; Forever 21
Booties; Target
Turquoise watch; vintage

I know, I know, I've been slacking pretty badly over here. Life has taken over. A lot of friends whom I haven't seen in years have been coming into town so I've been spending time with them. I got a newer laptop, and have been spending way too much time trying to get all my files transferred over to this one. I've been recovering from the terrible second degree sunburn I got whilst in San Diego (I forgot sunblock.. I'll never learn). Been dealing with a lot of other shit with personal relationships with people as well. I've been pretty drained lately, so I apologize for my absence.
I ran errands with my mother today after I'd gotten home from school. I came home and changed out of my school clothes and threw on this little ensemble. I've gained some weight, so these faux leather shorts are finally wearable again, and I love it! My weight fluctuates so much, it's ridiculous (oh the woes of having my father's side of the family's fast metabolism and my never ending stomach). It's been ridiculously hot here in Fresno, so shorts and a tank are practically my only option if I don't want to die of heat. I'd totally forgotten about this tank though, rediscovered it in my closet a few days ago, and figured I'd take it out for another spin! Also, these booties are some of my favorite, despite being quite beat up.
I can't wait to get some more outfits shot! I've been sent a few great pieces from some amazing shops within the past week, and I honestly cannot wait to share them all with you!

Grunge & DIY

Studded leather jacket; Chic Boutique in Santa Cruz
DIY shorts; dyed and studded by moi
Tights; Urban Outfitters (shredded by moi)
Tank top; Forever 21
Boots; Kohl's
Rings; vintage, gifts
Wired stone bracelet; Target
Abalone earrings; gifted

Anything DIY has been my new thing lately. These shorts were inspired by the ever so lovely Madeline Pendleton. Splattered bleach all over them, then dyed them a fuchsia color. Then out of nowhere I decided to stud the hell out of them. I also shredded these tights to my liking.
As you know from my previous post, I spent the weekend with a bunch of amazing people in Santa Cruz. While roaming around shops, one, called Chic Boutique, had a rack of sale items posted up outside. As we walked by, I saw the studded leather jacket.. 50% off. Such a steal, and it's definitely my new favorite! I'd also had my eye on this stone bracelet I found at Target, just hadn't had the money to purchase it. Yesterday I went in to find that collection on jewelry had gone on clearance, and to my amazement, there was one left. I swooped it up real quick, and I'm so glad I did!
